Michele Ogilvie earned her BA in Studio Art in 1987 from Cal Sate Northridge. During the following 10 years, she lived and worked in a studio on Rose Ave, Venice, and exhibited primarily with Sherry Frumkin Gallery in Santa Monica. At that time she also worked as a freelance Graphic Designer, and Special Projects Art Director for a major publishing company in Malibu.
With the desire to teach, Michele went back to school in 2000, and in 2003 earned her California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art, as well as her MFA (Masters of Fine Art. Since earning her credential she has taught classes at the Secondary, and University levels such as Color Theory, Ceramics, 3-D Design, Studio Problems in Teaching Art, Photography, AP Studio Art, plus Drawing and Painting.
Throughout the past 10 years Michele has also been committed to studying and practicing yoga, holistic healing arts and meditation. During the past few years she has completed Yoga Teacher Training, become a Reiki II practitioner, plus a Licensed Holistic Bodyworker.
